Laparoscopic Kidney Surgery

Laparoscopic surgery is a modern technique where specialized instruments and a tiny camera are used through small incisions (5mm to 10mm) in the abdomen. This minimally invasive method results in less scarring and increased comfort for the patient. The high-definition camera provides a clear view inside the body, allowing for precise operations and access to areas difficult to reach with traditional open surgery.

Patients experience less pain, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recovery, often resuming normal activities within a week. This method also has fewer sexual side effects and can be used for patients on anticoagulants like Coumadin® (warfarin sodium).
